Gerry approached Preston Pools for a luxury indoor pool brought to life by natural light, paired with a dedicated wellness offering — a matching hot hydrotherapy spa and cold plunge pool in a private relaxation area, primarily for health purposes, finished with the same style and class as the main pool hall.
Three bodies of water — a constant-depth pool, a hot hydro spa and a cold plunge — each needed their own treatment and balance within one building. The private spa room called for natural light and an outside view without sacrificing privacy, and all fittings had to be minimal so as not to clutter the relaxation space.
We built a 10m × 5m constant-depth skimmer pool beneath a full-length glass pitched roof, with a Roman step end and iridescent mosaics. Alongside, a private room houses a 12-jet hot hydro spa with airpad and leather headrests and a 3-jet cold plunge, both seamlessly tiled, with narrow handrails, recessed wall steps and a discreet floor-level window.
The finished pool hall is flooded with natural light, its iridescent mosaics and Roman step end emphasised by reflections, with a glass-doored steam room overlooking the garden. The matching hot and cold spas — the Silver SPATA-awarded health suite — ooze style and class, the skylight and floor-level window adding light and views without losing privacy.
